Externship Description

At HireBrain, we specialize in building Context-Aware AI models that adapt to customer-specific and user-specific needs, a technology we refer to as Augmented Intelligence. As an AI Analyst Extern, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and testing these models, which are designed to enhance decision-making in the hiring process by providing deeply contextual insights, personalized guidance and content generation.

This externship is ideal for graduate students passionate about the intersection of AI, machine learning, and real-world business applications – that help individual users. If you are interested in understanding how advanced AI can be applied to drive more intelligent, human-centric decision-making in an industry setting, this project will provide you with hands-on experience and the opportunity to directly contribute to high-impact solutions. 

The extern will work together with the AI team and a mentor to improve or deliver a tested Augmented Intelligence model, along with documentation, data analysis, and recommendations for future improvements. The extern will present their final results to the AI team and stakeholders at the end of the externship.

Objectives

1. Explore, preprocess, and integrate customer-specific datasets, ensuring they enhance the accuracy of context-aware AI models.
2. Assist with tuning and optimizing machine learning models, focusing on the variability of user-specific scenarios.
3. Run testing of AI models to assess their adaptability and performance across different customer and user profiles.
4. Collaborate with the team on refining models for specific use cases, driving toward personalized, objective based hiring.
5. Conduct a comparative analysis of model performance against internal or external benchmarks.

The extern will receive:

• One-on-one mentorship and guidance from HireBrain’s experienced AI and product teams.
• Regular feedback on model development and optimization techniques.
• Exposure to cutting-edge AI and machine learning methods, particularly in building context-aware
• Weekly team meetings for knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications

We are seeking Master’s or PhD candidates with a strong background in fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines. Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in, or familiarity of, machine learning or AI model development (Python preferred).
• Familiarity with data preprocessing, model tuning, and testing.
• A keen interest in applying AI to practical, business-critical problems, particularly in decision-making and hiring processes.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
