Background

The Corporate Engagement Office at the University of Chicago is seeking a talented and highly motivated extern to join our team and support our efforts in creating materials to have on hand for exploratory visits with companies. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to showcasing the excellence and diversity of UChicago’s academic community.

​Externship Description

As a Content Specialist, you will be responsible for researching and crafting communications materials to promote the university’s strengths and expertise. This internship provides the perfect platform to refine your research, writing, and presentation skills while working closely with a dynamic team.

• Conduct in-depth research on UChicago’s faculty members to create compelling and informative bios.
• Summarize the key characteristics, achievements, and offerings of UChicago’s departments and divisions. 
• Develop visually engaging summary slides to effectively communicate departmental strengths and information. 
• Collaborate with the team to ensure content accuracy and consistency. 
• Assist in any other content-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications​

Exceptional research and writing skills with an ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content. Knowledge of or a strong interest in academia and higher education is a plus.
