Marco Allodi, PhD
Consultant, Bain & Company
Marco Allodi is a Consultant at Bain & Company. He joined Bain in December 2020 and has worked with clients on strategy & operational excellence in a variety of industries, from natural resources to healthcare. Prior to Bain, Marco was an A.O. Beckman postdoctoral fellow in chemistry at the University of Chicago from 2015-2020 and earned his Ph.D. in chemical physics from Caltech. During his academic career, his research focused on using laser spectroscopy to understand the quantum properties of excited-state chemical systems.
Alexis Howard, PhD
Engagement Manager, McKinsey & Company
Alexis completed her PhD in Comparative Human Development in 2019, where she studied the social and cultural context of health among older adults. She is now an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co, where she advises clients in the public and private sector on topics of healthcare delivery and health equity. In addition, she also contributes to several pro bono strategy consulting efforts for nonprofits in the Chicagoland area, with impact areasincluding housing, food security, and inclusive employment.
Lu Yao, PhD
Consultant, Bain & Company
Lu grew up in the Chicago area and attended Northwestern for undergrad. Afterwards, she completed her PhD in evolutionary biology at University of Chicago / The Field Museum followed by a postdoc at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, during which she decided to switch into consulting. Lu recently started at Bain as a Consultant in October 2020. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor sports, travel, and photography
William Yee, PhD
Consultant, Boston Consulting Group
William joined BCG as a Consultant after completing his Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology. Prior to UofC, William has a degree in chemical engineering from MIT. At BCG, Will focuses on quantitative topics such as pricing and serves clients acrosshealthcare, consumers, and industrial goods.
